Jailbroken iPhone 4 Users Having An Issue With The New Facebook App Not Working? Let’s Fix It!

After installing the much anticipated latest update to Facebook’s iPhone app I realized that uhm well it no longer worked, At all, In fact I couldn’t even log into Facebook using the Facebook iPhone App and I read about many users having an issue logging in or simply getting “Error try again later” every time they tried to view their news feed etc etera

T-Mobile G2 Spotted In The Wild

Today some shots of the T-Mobile G1 predecessor the G2 have been leaked we don’t have much on the specs of T-Mobiles next big smartphone other than it appears to be an americanized version of the upcoming HTC Vision it looks like you can expect a 3.7 inch display and a sliding QWERTY keyboard but we don’t have any specifics on its internals yet, As always we’ll keep you posted.

The New Verizon iPhone Codename N92 Nears Production – It’s Official!

Apple’s long rumored and long awaited Verizon compatible iPhone (CDMA Network iPhone) codenamed the N92 is in its last phase of testing before production known as the EVT (Engineer Validation Test) stage, Once this is completed it will go directly into production we presume for its long rumored January 2011 release date then again with it moving forward at this pace maybe we can expect a 2010 release date in the not so distant future? Regardless this is great news for those who love the iPhone 4 but despise AT&T or who simply prefer Verizon (everybody? yes thought so.) we’ll keep our ears to the ground and keep you posted on the Verizon iPhone and no people it will not be called N92 on release date that’s simply its in house codename at it’s testing facility.
iPhone iOS 4.0.2 Released, PDF Exploit Fixed, JailbreakMe No Longer Works.

Apple released its new iOS 4.0.2 simply to fix its PDF exploit and by doing this they have also blocked JailbreakMe.com the latest Jailbreaking method from working so only upgrade if you’re happy with a non jailbroken iPhone for the time being.
Install Flash (Well Frash) on Your iPhone 4 and iPad, Finally!

Let me start by saying sorry but this Flash method for your iPhone 4 and iPad only work on Jailbroken devices with that being said if you haven’t jailbroken your device yet it only takes about 60 seconds just Click Here.
To Install Frash (Flash for your iDevice) simply follow these directions:
1. Open Cydia > Manage > Sources
2. Edit source and add http://repo.benm.at
3. Search Frash and install it.
I also think its important to note that Frash will not make ALL Flash content work, I’ve heard it only makes 30% of Flash content work but I have no data to back this up but even if that’s the case would you rather have 30% of Flash content work or no Flash at all?

Prototypes like this Sony Ericsson stamped detachable multi-directional two piece smartphone by Yanko Designs is one of the reasons I love writing blogs and reviews, This design is fairly simplistic yet brilliant I’m certain that in the not too distant future a smartphone along this line will be designed (most likely by Nokia or Sony Ericsson as they have always been the first to try the riskier form technologies in the past see the Nokia Communicator Here, And before you ask yes of course I had one lol) I could see a device like this coming out with the Android OS in the next 5 years that’s probably just wishful thinking but lets hope not!

So First what is jailbreaking? The simple answer is that it’s enabling your phone to download and run apps that are not from Apple’s app store.
With Jailbreaking now being legal and very easily accomplished thank’s to JailbreakMe.com which instantly jailbreaks even the latest iPhone 4 and it’s latest iOS 4.0.1 with one click of the mobile browser everyone is asking should I Jailbreak my iPhone? This past week when JailbreakMe.com the one click mobile Safari based iPhone Jailbreak utility was launched it raised one major question, How did this website just modify my “secure” iPhones boot rom and install the Cydia app store in turn Jailbreaking my iPhone? Well today that question has been answered, A Major security flaw in iPhones mobile Safari web browser taking advantage of a major PDF exploit allows the website to gain a sort of root access to your system and execute scripts hidden within the now executed PDF file without your consent or knowledge. Apple is now aware of this exploit which if taken advantage of in a negative manor could give hackers access to your entire iPhone and complete control over it so we get both good and bad news out of this, The good: Apple is patching this exploit in iOS 4.1, The Bad: You’ll no longer to be able to Jailbreak your iPhone using this methods simplicity of one click Jailbreaking. If you’re concerned with this exploit and want to truly protect yourself from black hat hackers (the “bad” guys) just open up Cydia and search for “PDF Loading Warner” which will let you choose which PDF files to execute and which ones to block, Ironically you have to first Jailbreak your iPhone to be able to download the app that can save your iPhone from utter devastation.
Blackberry Torch Officially Launching August 12th @ AT&T For $200

RIM’s new long awaited and long rumored Blackberry Torch with the latest not yet released Blackberry 6 OS is finally officially hitting the shelves at your local AT&T store on August 12th for the standard high end smartphone price of $200.00 (with a contract, of course). Blackberrys latest addition comes with 4GB onboard storage paired with a 4GB microSD card included with the phone, 512MB ROM and 512MB RAM, A quadband 3G connection for the globe trotters out there and a 480 x 360 pixel touchscreen display that measures 3.2 inches. This phone uses Blackberrys standard optical trackpad as well as a slide down QWERTY keyboard and on screen touchscreen inputs as well. The new Blackberry Torch also comes with an interesting new feature called Media Sync that lets you sync your media library right over WiFi, Blackberry fans get ready this is sure to be a popular device on the 12th @ AT&T.

This is the week that the original Droid will be getting the Android 2.2 update, but it looks like that update won’t be bringing two of the most oft-requested features: tethering and a mobile hotspot. Why’s that? While tethering seems to be simply due to a lack of an app that “isn’t part of this update,” the mobile hotspot issue is a bit more curious — Verizon spokesperson Brenda Raney says that the Droid “doesn’t have [the] hardware to support a mobile hotspot.” No further explanation than that, but we have a sneaking suspicion that Motorola and Verizon aren’t passing over the feature because of a lack of hardware, but because of too much hardware — namely, the Droid 2 and Droid X.

Today July 26′th 2010 great news is passed down from the courts thanks to the EFF Electronic Frontier Foundation @ eff.org who won three critical exemptions to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act today which basically state that its not against copyright laws to use clips from copyrighted material in amateur non profit videos and it is also not against copyright law to jailbreak and unlock iPhones to use them on other carriers and install third party applications on them.

Droid X VS Droid 2 A Brief Overview And Spec Comparison [Video]

Summary: The Droid X and the Droid 2 are identical in hardware specifications such as CPU / Memory / GPU (Graphics) however the Droid 2 has a slide out keyboard which the Droid X does not have and the Droid X has an 8MP camera VS’s the Droid 2′s 5MP camera also the Droid X is 0.6 inches larger than the Droid 2 yet it has the same screen resolution, My choice would certainly be for the Droid 2 but the Droid X will certain appeal to some people over the Droid 2.

The Android Platform Gets Stronger! Adobe Avidly Creating Apps For Android! FlashTime by Adobe The FaceTime Competitor!

Now that they’re no longer buddy-buddy with Apple, Adobe has apparently set its sights on the Android platform by developing a FaceTime-like video-calling program for phones running the Google OS. The new “FlashTime” app is based on Adobe Air 2.5, which is said to be equal to its desktop Flash brethren. Air 2.5 will give the Flash-based app access to the phone’s microphone and video camera, and will be easily portable to other operating systems. Yeah, there are other programs for Android that already do this, but we have a feeling Adobe’s gonna put a little extra spit-shine on this one.
