I have 4 questions.
1. you said "Go back to the Settings screen then select General then Select About now scroll down to the “Wi-Fi Address” and write down the data next to it, It should look something like “00:21:D9:4R:98:18″ you will need this for the Mac OS X Software configuration in the next and final step of the setup." WHERE DO YOU ENTER THIS?

2. Even without entering this info, i got the computer and the phone to read each other, the profiler was running numbers, it said it wasnt connecting though. I couldnt go to any websites.

3. When you want to use the computer and use the the iphone as the modem, do you always have to run the profiler? after the 31 day period, do you know the price of renewal? or a freeby?

4.I would like this version to work, but i was wondering if you ever used additions iphonemodem? and if so, any directions?

Thanks for your time.

Matt - The iphone restore firmware you provided seems to work just fine but I seem to be having problems using the custom jailbroken software for at&t. Every time I try to restore(in DFU mode of course) it says “iTunes cannot restore iPhone “iPhone”. Unknown error occurred.” Any ideas?

Update - tried the non at&t software as well and still same problem. downloaded the .ipsw zip file for just at&t software itself and unarchived it comes out as a directory not an .ipsw file. possible corrupted file? any chance you could put up a fresh version of the jailbroken at&t one or perhaps help me figure out if i am doing something wrong?

Hello, To my knowledge Mac OS X isnt like windows where you can enable multiple connections and bind or bridge them but then again im fairly new to Mac OS X by comparison, My suggestion would be to disable the Lan/Ethernet connection under Settings > Network then look for any USB Modem related connections under the Network list and try disabling and re-enabling it, If it doesnt appear that there are any options as such try removing and reinserting the USB Modem, Beyond this im not familiar enough with the franklin wireless hardware and Mac OS X to help any further, Hopefully this helps.

Hi Matt,
judging by your expertise, you might be able to help me with my 3G problem. I have a Franklin wireless on my USB port which worked fine until I switched the settings in my network to accommodate an ethernet connection. Now I can't get it to work. It repeats the message that there is a modem problem.
I have tried just about anything to reset the network settings without success. The network assistant on my Mac Powerbook G4 OSX 10.4.11 only deals with modem, DSL and Airport issues.
Could you help?
TX
